ABOUT US
By integrating body, breath, movement, and meditative awareness, we promote awareness of the interdependency of all these aspects in personal health and wellbeing. At Box Yoga we believe I'm making full use of your body, moving it in ways outside the everyday, mobilising the joints and connective tissues along with the muscles. Cultivating a body that is strong, and mobile for long term health

STUDIO OWNER + ONLINE COACH
Jane Collingwood
I began teaching Yoga in 2019 and have practiced Yoga for over 15 years.
After the birth of my son in 2018 I decided to take the leap and enrolled into Yoga Teacher Training. I founded Box Yoga shortly after and I have loved every single minute since.
I believe in a personal approach to Yoga, that not two people are the same, and as a result no two people practicing Yoga will look or feel the same.
I believe everyone has something to gain from a Yoga practice and am so excited meet you on the mat, virtually or in the studio.
CLASSES WE OFFER
POWER YOGA
Flow Yoga meets callisthenics. Building strength, toning the body, creating flexibility and focusing the mind.
In Power Yoga we use integrating postures to form sequential movements along with isometric holds. All to developed specifically to tone the body and obtain optimal active flexibility.
This particular class helps build a strong core from which one can transition into new positions and exercises.
You will find meditation within the movements, strengthening your focus and calming the mind.
This flow centers around control and precision, with a diversity of exercises and modifications to suit a wide range of levels from beginner to advanced.
YIN YOGA
Yin Yoga is a slower paced practice, where the poses are held between 3 to 10 minutes depending on the intention of the pose.
During a Yin Yoga class we stretch all of the connective tissues, not only the muscles but also the tendons, ligaments, fascia etc.
This will increase circulation in these areas and improve flexibility. This crosses over to other aspects of life and can improve injury resistance in everyday activities along with your athletic endeavours.
The aim is to work with your unique anatomy to find softness in each position. To find the pose that works for your body, where you can rest into the stretch and allow the rest of your body to relax and find stillness.
Yin Yoga is a quiet practice where you can find deep relaxation and calm, and you are able to take the time to focus on yourself.
